I like the honesty and simplicity with which Orhan Pamuk writes. Its so smooth that one is transported somewhere else…without much effort. He is one of the leading writers of Turkey at present. i have read one of his novels ‘Snow’ and was impressed. he has something like Dostoevskian simplicity in his prose, an inquiring mind.

How novelists create an image and explore it is very fascinating. the colours which they paint the landscape is beautiful. what attracts the reader is simplicity and honesty to everyday life.

Everyday happenings form the content of the novel. it is full of comic and witty situations. People like P.G. Wodehouse are in a league of their own.

Jeeves is a hilarious high browed character that P.G Wodehouse has created.

some people’s  whose prose i like are-V.S Naipaul, Rohinton Mistry, Orhan Pamuk. Their simplicity is infectious.
