hearing from my friend about the movie, i thought it would be a dirty and obscene movie. but i got down to watch it and found it very beautiful..what a work..mind blowing!
bertolucci's portrayal of sex is very new and unconventional.....the movie looks very beautiful...it has been shot beautifully, i read somewhere on youtube that all of bernardo bertolucci's movies are like you are looking at a painting and which is a very true description!
watching the dreamers it looked as if i was watching a landscape...which was appearing and disappearing. the human bodies have been portrayed so beautifully, as if a work of art, obscenity and groseness is not possible...how did the director pull it off!
to treat of such themes with an artistic sensibility without trying to shock or jolt is sheer brilliance!
