ART

When human body attains high grace in harmonious movements it creates a work of art of immense value. Such an affair conveys to us pure truth......

It is when works of art are cut off from this idea and travel  on a lonely quest that problems arise.

Imitation in art work is a clear sign of untruth and superfluity; if reality and art are one  of what purpose will art be? It would simply be useless to people as the distinction between reality n art will be a fiction... Art will thereby be substituted by reality and make itself defunct. But we see in human society this has not happened. Art has survived. This is because art has added new meaning to our outlook of reality. It has brought new freshness and knowledge. So art actually is close to reality but is mixed with its own flavour. And it is this flavour that makes people want to take up art and engage in it.With its flavour art provides us the knowledge of pure truth. Truth as not imitation of reality but truth “as of being, of genuineness of intent, of discovering new phenomena and of excellence of skill.” It is not relation to facts that truth talks about , but our purity of purpose. All art work must have some crux or groundwork on which to operate. Be it the rhythmic movement of Indian classical dance or the movements of modern ballet. Art provides much more than just entertainment. It is a culmination of the cultural meanderings and channelings of peoples.  It not only takes the well trodden path of habit, but also discovers new paths, new pastures. When it defines its new direction it gives fresh meaning to our concept of culture. And it is because of this i express great hope in art!
